August 2026 — the team calendar, passkeys, and hearing back on feedback
This update adds a team calendar for practices with more than one therapist, passkey sign-in for everyone, and two changes that came straight from feedback: hearing back when your suggestion leads to a change, and recording that a cancellation was the clinic’s doing rather than the client’s.
A team calendar for multi-therapist practices
Section titled “A team calendar for multi-therapist practices”A new Team view on the calendar shows your whole practice’s day on one screen: a row per therapist, time running left to right, so you can see at a glance who is booked, where they are working, and when they’re not in.
You decide how much colleagues see of each other’s appointments. A new practice setting offers three levels — times only, initials and location (the default), or full names — and whichever you choose, you always see your own appointments in full.
Times when a colleague isn’t working show as exactly that. Practicos knows when there’s no appointment booked; it doesn’t claim to know that someone is free — so unbooked time is labelled “unbooked”, never “available”.
Sign in with Face ID, your fingerprint or your device passcode
Section titled “Sign in with Face ID, your fingerprint or your device passcode”You can now add a passkey to your account from Settings → Security, and a “Sign in with a passkey” option appears on the sign-in page. A passkey lets you sign in the same way you unlock your phone or laptop — no password to type, nothing to remember, and nothing that can be guessed or copied.
You can add one for each device you use, see when each was last used, and remove any of them whenever you like. If you use two-factor authentication, you’ll still be asked for your code afterwards.
You’ll hear back when your feedback leads to a change
Section titled “You’ll hear back when your feedback leads to a change”When you send us feedback from the app and it leads to a change, we’ll now email you our response once we’ve looked at your suggestion — if you’ve told us you’re happy to be contacted. Two of the changes in this very update came from practice feedback, and the practices that suggested them heard back through exactly this route.
Improved
Section titled “Improved”Record when the clinic cancelled, not the client
Section titled “Record when the clinic cancelled, not the client”When an appointment is cancelled, you’re no longer forced to answer whether the client gave notice when it wasn’t the client’s cancellation at all. A third option — Cancelled by clinic — covers the therapist being unwell, a room being unavailable, or anything else on the practice’s side. Your cancellation records, the calendar’s cancellation filter and the last-90-days cancellation breakdown all reflect it, so conversations about attendance are based on what actually happened.
Thanks to the practice that suggested this.
